UKDCC MEDAL TESTS
- PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TESTS ARE NOT EXAMS. THEY ARE AN EXTENSION OF OUR CLASS EVENTS.
- BALLET, TAP, MODERN, JAZZ, LYRICAL, MUSICAL THEATRE, CONTEMPORARY, COMMERCIAL/STREET all taken separately.
- Children may take as many tests as they like.
- £9 PER GENRE from January 2024
- £12 per genre in Scotland
- £20 PER GENRE CHANNEL ISLES & IRELAND
- Maximum 12 children in the studio at a time. No minimum.
- Minimum daily fees £600 (small schools negotiable)
- Minimum daily fees CHANNEL ISLES & IRELAND £1000
- AGES – (adaptable according to the Teachers assessments)

- ASSESSOR (Cathi Conroy-Jones or other highly qualified Professional) will attend with a Lecturer. Each group will be taught a short sequence and will be awarded a medal for each genre taken and a certificate of attendance.
- No sound operator is required.
- A presentation at the end of the day can be arranged if required.
- No marks or will be given but a small report will be written.
- There will be special awards presented at the end of the day for children as selected by the Assessor.
- Numbers must be worn and will be provided by UKDCC.
- A non-refundable deposit of £100 will be required to confirm the booking.

Now I’m back in the land of the living I would just like to say a personal thank you to Cathi Conroy-Jones at UK DANCE CLASS Championships for our fantastic medal test day on Saturday.
I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve only ever seen videos of the live events which are such a high standard.
As a relatively new school it was our first time hosting such an event on a large scale.
Cathi was amazing at ensuring the day was tailored to the needs of our school. We had such a variety of dancer some with experience and some who only started dancing in September!
Eloiise Rose Massey did an amazing job of making the children feel calm and confident.
Every single student got a medal and certificate and a feedback report, which with Mrs Conroy’s experience really was an amazing bonus as they were both complimentary and constructive.
We then had the awards and commendations at the end of the day which was the cherry on top.
The kids absolutely loved it, still talking about it back in class this week and the parents have given fabulous feedback too!
We can’t wait to have you back next year 🖤

UK DANCE CLASS Championships Medal Tests 💜
All of the students had such a wonderful experience yesterday. We love that the medal tests are an opportunity for children to be able to experience an “exam style setting”, receive individual personalised feedback, get a certificate AND a medal too.
The tests are run so that students as young as 2 years old are able to participate!
Well done to everyone who took part – you can see how happy everyone was, especially the 7 students who got “special commendation” and “most promising dancer” trophies!
We enjoyed them so much we’ve had 3 already and have booked again for May 2024 ! Can’t wait!

We recently had a medal test day and I can’t recommend it enough!
No preparation needed so it’s a really lovely event to break up a busy show term or gruelling exam prep. We have only had positive feedback from our dancers and their grown ups.
The reports the children received were true reflections of the dancers they are which myself and my Co worker really appreciated.
